One of the most notable stories written by Chris Kyle in his book American Sniper, was when he and other Seal Team members advanced on a small town, taking cover at strategic locations, to observe any possible remaining enemy. Soon a contingency of Marines would be on the street making a final sweep. As Kyle looked through his scope, he notice a woman and small child on the somewhat deserted street. Suddenly, the woman reached under her shirt and made a jerking motion. Another Seal Team member made the same observation and radioed to the others. "It's a grenade." Kyle fired hitting the woman. The grenade dropped to the ground. He fired another shot at the grenade that she was carrying, which then exploded, thus protecting other innocent people on the street, including the approaching Marines. Kyle later said, "It was clear she not only wanted to kill them but she didn't car about anyone else nearby who would have been blown up by the grenade and killed in the fire fight. She was too blinded by evil to consider them."
For anyone not to believe the presence of Satan in this world, is foolish. God's Word is very emphatic that he roars around like a lion. Satan was present in the beginning of time, which was evidenced by the fact that he convicted many during the time Jesus walked in this world. Many people were blinded by evil as they promoted the execution of the Lord, the one who knew no sin, and was here to ensure our ultimate home in Heaven if we are willing to accept it. 1 Peter 5:8 tells us , "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."
